About Us

Artists 4 Artists

Alla Breve Design for the Arts was formed in 2002 by Steph Waller, a composer, writer and Mozart historian who also had a flair for web design. Starting in 1998 by creating her own websites in MS Word, Steph recognized the similarities between web design and music composition and put her knowledge and talent to work. Professional web designers couldn't believe that her clean, smooth designs were created in Word. MS Frontpage was her next stop, but a true autodidact, she began teaching herself HTML/CSS, and a number of other programs and applications. Before long, she was joined by guitarist/composer Micah Atwell, playwright/actor Deni Hall and graphic artist Heather Weaver, and the present All Breve team was formed. By 2002 a number of sites had been created on Alla Breve that spotlighted either composers, singers, or music in general. As time went on Alla Breve began getting requests to build sites for other people in the arts, and it found its niche. Alla Breve not only creates websites, it also hosts, maintains and spotlights a growing number of interesting sites.

About Our Name

Alla Breve (Ah-lah BRAY-vay): a musical notation indicating that the music is to be played twice as fast as normal. Also known as "cut-time", it is commonly pronounced ah-lah brev or brave.

Arts First!

With financial support for the arts from both the government and the private sector dwindling, it is Alla Breve's desire to create quality websites for artists from all genres at individualized prices. Today, musicians, writers, actors and other persons in the arts rely on a positive and attractive web presence in order to further their careers.

Our Fees

Only a small percentage of us artists can afford web designers who charge thousands of dollars for a site. Most designers charge $500 or more for a basic, drab site. Because we offer billable hours at affordable rates, you get more for your money. And you can trust our honesty. You will receive a detailed, itemized worksheet so that you know exactly how much time we've spent on everything we do for you, and what we've done.
